Santa Barbara Zoo News

Welcome Hyacinth Macaws!
The Zoo's Courtyard is looking pretty blue these days. That's definitely a good thing, though. Two male hyacinth macaws are now on exhibit for all to enjoy in the Courtyard Aviary. Stop by to say hi and you just may get an impromptu show.
Hyacinth macaws are the largest of all macaws. They use their extremely large beaks to crack open the seeds and berries from palm trees. Check them out and see how they compare to other macaws around the Zoo.
