Avcado Festival in Carpinteria this weekend.

Avocado Festival Celebrates 33 Years title=

The Avocado Festival is celebrating its thirty-three years in Carpinteria from Friday through Sunday.
Linden Avenue will be transformed into a hub of like-minded connoisseurs of the town's most delicious crop. Vendors will line the streets with booths selling avocado ice cream, guacamole, avocado beer, and many other combinations you would have never guessed.
Competitions will be held for the best tasting guacamole that would be sure to make anyone's mouth water. Other competitions include the strong-arm competition where contestants test their strength holding bags of avos and the largest avocado competition.
The Avocado Festival is also named as California's largest free music festival with over 75 musical acts on four different stages. Local bands will be rocking out all weekend long.
With over 80,000 attendees last year, this festival is expected to be the biggest one yet.
The AvoEXPO Tent will showcase agricultural and historical photos, lessons in avocado grafting, and FFA restored antique tractors. A Kids Area will offer games, face painting, and other avo-themed activities for all ages to enjoy.
