Santa Barbara Restaurant Week   Feb. 22-Mar. 3 The tasty 10-day event provides an excellent opportunity for locals and visitors to celebrate Santa Barbaras flourishing culinary scene, and dine at the areas best establishments for a great price: $25 two-course lunch and $40 three-course dinner.

World of Pinot - Fess Parker Dinner: 30 Years of Fess Parker   Mar. 1 To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Fess Parker Winery, the World of Pinot Noir is proud to host this five-course dinner and retrospective of one of California Pinot Noirs most pioneering and influential wine families. Members of the Parker family, as well as head winemaker Blair Fox, will be on hand to walk guests through rare library wines representing the breadth and depth of the winerys portfolio. Chef John Cox of The Bear and Star restaurant will deliver a carefully paired menu of his signature refined ranch cuisine to complement the tasting.

Santa Barbara Jewish Film Festival   Mar. 6-10 Organized by the Jewish Federation of Greater Santa Barbara, this years Festival will include five days of high quality, unique films from around the world on themes of Jewish culture and identity. Showcases a wide range of documentaries, dramas, comedies, and shorts by American, European, and Israeli filmmakers.

International Womens Day   Mar. 7 Were bringing together Santa Barbaras local gender balanced advocates, including women in tech, business leaders and more for a discussion about overcoming the challenges women face in business. Solvang Century, Metric & Half Century   Mar. 9 This is the 37th Annual version of this public participation bike ride (not a race). There are 4 route options to choose from (100, 69, 56 or 50 miles) that range from hard to easy. There will be a BBQ lunch available at the Finish Line along with massage therapist, a live DJ and over 25 cycling related vendors.

La Patronal   Mar. 9 Viva el Arte de Santa Barbara! La Patronal, a unique brass band from Lima, Peru, performs for free. Their lively performances encourage audience participation and dancing with contagious percussion and vibrant brass and winds. Reception follows concert.

Princess Weekend at Santa Barbara Zoo   Mar. 9-10 Young female members step into their glass slippers, and wear their finest sparkly ball gowns to this celebration of all-things-princess. But its not all dress-up, this event also is designed to bring attention to the many frogs, toads, and other amphibians around the world that face possible extinction. Costumes are encouraged, and boys are also welcome, be they dressed as knights, princes, cowboys, pirates, or astronauts.

Santa Barbara International Orchid Show   Mar. 15-17 Stunning exhibits & plant sales, orchid art & photography, culture demonstrations and floral arrangements.
