The Kardboard Kayak Race is where teams participate in a battle of wits,
design, and courage.  Teams of up to 4 will receive 2 sheets
of cardboard, 1 roll of tape, a marker, a utility knife, a yardstick, and
one hour to construct a functioning kayak.  Then they will be ready to race
other teams in their heat, finding out whose design can hold up to the
pressure of paddling out to a buoy and back. The Kardboard
Kayak Races are divided into separate heats, with prizes awarded to
participants in the Family Fun heat (geared to family groups with younger
kayak paddlers) and the Paddling Pros heat (geared toward adult and/or
"skilled" competitors).  Speed and construction design will be the true test!

Santa Barbara, CA, United States
For over 30 years, I have taken great pleasure in helping Buyers and Sellers make their real estate dreams come true! From condos to castles I know the territory. I delight in sharing information about our wonderful Santa Barbara lifestyle. Volunteering with the Assistance League of Santa Barbara, The Teacher’s Fund, Santa Barbara Association of Realtors keeps me active. Currently, I serve as Chair of the non-profit Mastick Foundation. My late husband and I mentored and housed collegiate athletes playing summer baseball with the Santa Barbara Forester organization. With Doug now fly-fishing in heaven, I enjoy traveling with girlfriends. My bragging rights include numerous awards from my peers at the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors and the SB Newspress Readers’ Choice Award as Realtor of the Year. I’m the happy recipient of much repeat business and referrals from my wonderful clients, many of whom have become my friends. I am fluent in Patience, Kindness, Detail, Negotiation Skills, Real Estate, English, and Customer Care. Consider me your Santa Barbara Concierge because I truly know the territory.
